Your Consent

Please read this privacy policy carefully. By using the website, you accept and agree to be bound by this privacy policy. If you do not wish to agree, you must not access or use this website.

Website Visitors

Like most websites, ArtClassCurator.com collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Our purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how our visitors use our website. Art Class Curator also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. We do not use such information to identify visitors, however, and do not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that we use and disclose personally-identifying information as described below.

Aggregated Statistics

ArtClassCurator.com may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to the website. However, we do not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to ArtClassCurator.com choose to interact with us in ways that require us to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that we gather depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask commenters to provide a name, URL, and email address. Art Class Curator collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with us. We do not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. Visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

We use the information you provide to deliver the requested product and/or service, to improve our overall performance, and to provide you with offers, promotions, and information. Further details on the ways identifying information is collected and used are written below.

Subscriber Newsletters

If you subscribe to an Art Class Curator newsletter, you will be required to give your email address so that we may send you the emails.

Your data is collected and then passed on to Active Campaign, our email service provider. You can read its privacy policy here. Tags are used within Convertkit to track your actions and page visits so that future emails can better meet your needs. We send one email a week and will occasionally send additional emails about special offers.

If you sign up for the newsletter and receive a subscriber freebie at the same time, we collect your information through a third party application called Bucket. You can read its privacy policy here.

Your email and name are never sold, rented, leased, or given away to a third party.

At the bottom of each newsletter you will find information about how to contact us, as well as a link to unsubscribe. You may unsubscribe at any time.

Blog Comments

When you leave a blog comment, your comment is public and visible. Your email address is never disclosed unless you include it in the main body of the comment. Your name and comment (as well as your URL, if you provide it), are visible to anyone who visits the comment section. Please avoid leaving any personal information in your comments.

Your details will remain in the database unless we remove it or you request to have it removed.

We reserve the right to remove or edit comments at our discretion. These may include comments containing profanity, harassment, threats, self-promotion, or spam.

Shop & Membership Purchases

Payments for products in the Art Class Curator Store and memberships to the Curated Connection Library are processed through PayPal (read their privacy policy here) and Stripe (read their privacy policy here).

Your first name and email address are required during the checkout process. Information about your purchase is stored indefinitely. This way we can resend the files any time you request them. Only your name, email address, and purchase history are stored on our site.

You may also purchase our products on Teachers Pay Teachers. Read its privacy policy here.

We may also sell other bloggers’ products via affiliate programs. Each program collects and retains its own data. We do not have access to the personal information that is collected by these affiliate programs.

Cookies and Pixels

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. Art Class Curator uses cookies to help identify and track visitors, their usage of ArtClassCurator.com, and their website access preferences, which helps us provide the best possible experience for you.

We use third party advertisements on ArtClassCurator.com to support our site. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on our site, which will also send these advertisers (such as Google through the Google AdSense program) information including your IP address, your ISP, the browser you used to visit our site and, in some cases, whether you have Flash installed. This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (showing Texas real estate ads to someone in Texas, for example) or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing cooking ads to someone who frequents cooking sites).

Visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using Art Class Curator, with the drawback that certain features of this site may not function properly without the aid of cookies. If you wish to disable cookies, you can learn how to do that by visiting the website of the internet browser or browsers you use.

Some of the websites or services that may track your website activity are:
Amazon (for advertising)*
Facebook Pixel (for Facebook ad targeting)
Google Analytics (for tracking website traffic and user behavior)
Active Campaign (for email tracking)

*Art Class Curator is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for earning advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com. This doesn’t cost you an extra cent.

Google Analytics

Art Class Curator uses Google Analytics to track website performance and behavior. It provides information on pageviews, referral sources (such as another website or a social media site), your device (i.e. mobile or desktop), browsing actions, and other information that helps us adapt the content written for this site.

Google Analytics collects anonymous information about your location, age, gender, IP address, and interests. We have no way to connect that information to you personally. Read about Google Analytics’ privacy policy here.

Links to Third Party Websites

We include links to third party websites for your use and reference. We are not responsible for the privacy policies on these sites. Be aware that their privacy policies may be different than that of Art Class Curator.

Advertisements

Third party advertisements are used on this website. We currently run ads through Adthrive. Adthrive may use cookies or web beacons when they advertise on this site in order to show ads that would most interest you. Art Class Curator does not control Adthrive’s tracking technologies or how they may be used.

Art Class Curator posts information on various social media platforms. Art Class Curator is not responsible for your privacy when you post on its social media channels.

When We May Transfer Your Personal Data

We will not transfer your personal data unless we are under legal obligation to do so.

Testimonials

I like how this program, unlike other art class resource membership programs, feels authentic. It's like art matters more here, and not fancy flash-in-the-pan trendiness. The goal of Art Class Curator seemed to be helping kids develop a lifelong love and art appreciation versus "Hey, look. I painted this fish."
Erin A.
Your questions are helping me to delve into much deeper learning, and my students are getting better at discussion-and then, making connections in their own work. Art Class Curator is awesome!
Denise W.
Interestingly, my lower performing classes really get engaged in these [lessons] and come away with some profound thoughts!
Melissa G.
I had the most amazing 6th grade class today. They were jumping out of their seats with hands raised just to respond and give input. It was as if I was waving candy in front of them! They saw more and more and the ideas and interpretations unfolded. So cool!!! This is what makes teaching art so wonderful – thank you!!
Caroline G.
I just wanted to thank you for the invaluable resource you have through Art Class Curator. Not only do you have thought provoking activities and discussion prompts, but it saves me so much time in preparing things for myself! I feel like I’ve only scratched the surface with your site.
